Heather's new do
Saiah has been very interested in doing hair as of late. She is doing a very good job of putting her own pig tails in and decided that Mommy needed pigtails as well! She did a great job, and I must admit, I love to have my hair brushed, so it served a dual purpose having Saiah do my hair. After she was finished, she wanted to know if I would please wear my hair like this more often!! I tried to explain to her that usually, mommies don't wear pigtails.
"Well, Aunt Lizzie wears them".
Huh.
"Yep, Aunt Lizzie does, and she looks good, but Mommy doesn't really do pigtails. "
Fortunately, she has taken more interest now in styling Emily and Nicki's hair, her American Girl dolls. I do miss the hair brushing though...

A Masterpiece
Saiah has been on a mission for the last few weeks, making as many drawing and craft projects as possible for her two cousins that have come for Christmas. Many have been the typical snowman, snowflake, and Christmas tree...but this one was took me by surprise! I was so amazed at what she had drawn and colored with such detail, that I immediately started thinking "now, this has to be framed and put up in our house". As I was rearranging pictures in my mind to make room for this print, I heard the words
"It's for Annie".
What?!
"Well, could you make one for me then?"
"Yes" said with a beaming smile.
As a side note....we will be posting some of Saiah's finer work on Artsonia
You can sign up as a member of Saiah's Fan club for notifications of new artwork by her.
